NFL running back Duke Johnson announced his retirement on Sunday, reflecting on his incredible journey. Despite starting out with modest beginnings, Johnson went on to become the all-time leading rusher at the University of Miami and was later drafted by the Browns in the third round of 2015. During his time in Cleveland, he showcased his skills by running 299 times for 1,286 yards and five touchdowns. He also proved to be a valuable asset in the passing game, accumulating 235 catches for 2,170 yards and eight scores.

In 2019, Johnson was traded to the Texans and spent two seasons in Houston before returning to Miami to play for the Dolphins in 2021. Even though he had a brief stint with the Bills in 2022, Johnson’s career stats speak for themselves – with 532 carries for 2,265 yards and 311 catches for 2,870 yards.
