The Texas Rangers celebrated their first World Series win by handing out championship rings to approximately 60 members of the organization in a ceremony before their game against the Chicago Cubs. The rings were designed by Jason of Beverly Hills and feature blue sapphires, red rubies, and diamonds arranged in the shape of the Rangers’ “T” logo, as well as details representing the team’s championship season.

Rangers lead baseball executive Chris Young revealed the rings to the players during a team dinner, which included a highlight package and a video describing the design process. Second baseman Marcus Semien described the emotional moment of seeing the ring for the first time, recognizing the hard work put in by the team.

The rings have 103 blue sapphires to represent the team’s victory total for the regular season and playoffs, as well as a removable top with a piece of leather from a baseball used in the World Series. For Rangers manager Bruce Bochy, this new jewelry marks the fourth World Series ring of his career, and he joked about trying to wear them all at once.
