The Cleveland Browns have signed veteran Quinton Jefferson to bolster their defensive line for the upcoming season. Jefferson, a 31-year-old lineman, spent last season with the New York Jets where he had a career-high 6.0 sacks, four tackles for loss, and 13 quarterback hits. He started 14 games for the Jets, playing 49 percent of defensive snaps in those games.

Originally drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, Jefferson played out his rookie contract with Seattle before moving on to Buffalo and then Las Vegas. He returned to Seattle in 2022 and played a rotational role, accumulating 5.5 sacks, six tackles for loss, and 13 quarterback hits. Throughout his career, Jefferson has recorded a total of 26.5 sacks, 28 tackles for loss, and 77 quarterback hits in 103 games, with 62 starts.

With his experience and proven ability to pressure quarterbacks, Jefferson brings valuable depth and skill to the Cleveland Browns’ defensive line for the upcoming season. His versatility and production make him a valuable addition to the team as they prepare for the challenges of the NFL season ahead.
