On Saturday, Chicago authorities issued a community alert regarding the sexual assault of a young girl at the Museum of Science and Industry. The incident took place on Thursday, when the 10-year-old girl became separated from her group while exploring the museum located on 5700 S. DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

According to police, the suspect approached the girl and offered to help her find her group. The child was taken to the museum’s second floor and asked to use the restroom, where the assault took place. While in the restroom, the suspect entered the room and crawled under the stall door, touching the girl inappropriately. The girl reacted by kicking towards the suspect, who then fled from the restroom.

The suspect is described as a man between 30 to 40 years old, weighing 160 to 180 pounds, with a height between 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 3 inches. He has curly, light brown hair, a beard, and a tattoo of a roaring lion on his neck.
