The initial plan for this maintenance was to last 37 days, with work starting on March 2. However, due to technical issues and delays, the completion date has been pushed back four times.

The latest extension of six more days brings the current estimated completion date to May 4th. This is due to issues with cooling components and additional technical problems that arose during the maintenance process. TVO, the power company responsible for the reactor, announced this latest update in a recent statement.

The annual maintenance of Olkiluoto 3 is crucial in ensuring that it remains safe and efficient for continued operation.
