In a bold move, the New England Patriots selected two rookie quarterbacks in the latest draft, Joe Milton and Drake Maye. Milton, who was previously of Tennessee and Michigan, was picked in the sixth round, while Maye was chosen third overall. Maye is seen as the future quarterback for the team, with Jacoby Brissett also on the roster to provide experience and leadership until Maye is ready.

During a press conference, Milton expressed his readiness to compete for a chance to play as quarterback for New England. He made it clear that he has only discussed playing quarterback with the team and has not heard of any possibilities of switching positions, such as playing as a tight end. Despite speculation from some that he might consider a position change, Milton firmly stated his dedication to the quarterback role and dismissed any talk of switching to another position.

While it remains uncertain how long it will take for Milton to get some game time on the field, his determination to succeed in his chosen position suggests he is prepared to work hard to earn his place on the team. The Patriots have a mix of rookie talent and experienced players at the quarterback position, and Milton’s commitment to playing quarterback bodes well for their future successes on the field.
