The World Triathlon Championship Series and Mixed Relay Series Montreal events, originally scheduled to take place on 14-15 September 2024, have been cancelled. Despite this, the World Triathlon Para Series Montreal event on 29 June will still go ahead as planned. In response to the cancellation, the World Triathlon Cup Wehai has been upgraded to a WTCS event, serving as the fifth stop in the 2024 Series.
Due to last-minute cancellations, the 2024 World Triathlon Championship Series ranking points will be awarded at four remaining Series events: WTCS Yokohama, WTCS Cagliari, WTCS Hamburg, and WTCS Weihai. Points will also be granted at Continental Championships, Paris 2024 Olympic Games, and Championship Finals Torremolinos-Andalucia. The athletes with the highest points accumulated from three of these six events plus the Championship Finals will be crowned the 2024 World Triathlon Champions.

– 11 May: World Triathlon Championship Series Yokohama
– 25 May: World Triathlon Championship Series Cagliari
– 13-14 July: World Triathlon Championship Series Hamburg
– 17-20 October: World Triathlon Championship Finals Torremolinos-Andalucia
