PLAY airlines has welcomed Sigurður Örn as the new Chief of Business Development. In this newly created role, Sigurður will be responsible for overseeing the expansion of PLAY’s business ventures across all departments. With an MBA degree from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh and a strong background in aviation, Sigurður Örn brings a wealth of experience to his new position.

Prior to joining PLAY, Sigurður served as the CEO and chairman of Bluebird Nordic and was a board member of Avion Express. He also played a significant role in negotiating major acquisitions for Avia Solutions Group (AGS), including Avion Express, SmartLynx, and Bluebird Nordic. His impressive track record and industry knowledge make him a valuable addition to the PLAY team.
