‘May the Science Be With You’ returns to Las Vegas on Thursday for a thrilling event that combines Star Wars with science. This free, family-friendly experience is brought to you by the Atomic Museum and the Desert Research Institute (DRI). The event features engaging science demonstrations, hands-on activities like Padawan training, and more.

Families will have the opportunity to participate in interactive STEM and STEAM activities at ‘May the Science Be With You’. Shawna Witt, DRI STEM Education Coordinator, highlights the event’s hands-on nature, with engineering tools like snap circuits and a remote controlled model rover available for kids to explore. Matt Malinowski, Atomic Museum Director of Education, emphasizes the event’s appeal for Star Wars fans, encouraging attendees to come meet some characters, have fun and possibly learn something new.

The ‘May the Science Be With You’ event is part of the Las Vegas Science & Technology Festival and will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 755 E. Flamingo Road. In addition, the Atomic Museum will be offering half-priced admission to museum exhibits during the event.
