On Monday, Mercyhurst Prep baseball secured a season sweep of Fairview with a thrilling 6-3 victory. The team was praised for their outstanding performance by Hunter Krahe, who pitched 5 2/3 innings, Josh Majczyk, who hit a three-run home run, and coach Randy Durkoske.

In other sports news from Monday, the District 10 boys tennis championship results were announced at Westwood Racquet Club. In the Class 2A singles tournament, Jonah Ng from Cathedral Prep emerged victorious over Gavin Ferretti from Cathedral Prep with a score of 6-1, 6-0. In the Class 3A singles tournament, John Sinnott from Erie High defeated Gridley Wright from McDowell with a score of 6-1, 6-3.
