The New York Jets have announced the signing of former Los Angeles Chargers wideout Mike Williams to a one-year deal worth up to $15 million. Excited about his new teammates, Williams spoke about playing alongside quarterback Aaron Rodgers and rookie Garrett Wilson, likening Wilson’s style of play to that of Keenan Allen.

Williams brings a big-bodied target to the Jets’ offense and complements their strong running game and elite defense. In his career, he has two 1,000-yard seasons and ranks second in yards per reception since entering the league. Despite tearing his ACL last season, Williams is expected to make a significant impact on the Jets’ offense.

The signing of Williams is part of the Jets’ larger offensive overhaul for the upcoming 2024 season. They have also added offensive linemen Tyron Smith, John Simpson, and Morgan Moses to strengthen the front line. As they continue to make moves to improve their roster, the Jets are building a competitive team heading into the new season. With 309 catches for 4,806 yards and 31 touchdowns in 88 games played, Williams adds depth to a receiver room that features Garrett Wilson.
