Kim Petras, the 31-year-old superstar, recently announced on social media that she will be taking a break from performing at scheduled festival appearances this summer due to health issues. Although she did not provide specifics about her health concerns, she expressed her devastation at having to cancel her appearances but promised to make it up to her fans and return better than ever soon.
Kim Petras was set to perform at various festivals this summer, including Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain; Mighty Hoopla in London, England; Primavera Porto in Porto, Portugal; and Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle, Wash. She was also announced as the headliner for LadyLand 2024, the annual Pride festival produced by nightlife connoisseur Ladyfag. Despite the cancellations, Petras plans to return to performing once she has recovered from her health issues.
In September 2023, Petras released her French-pop album Problématique via Republic / Amigo Records. Featuring 10 tracks of ecstatic pop sounds ranging from funk to R&B-pop to bratty, materialistic pop jams, the album showcased Petras’ diverse musical talents. This album followed the release of Feed the Beast in June 2023 and Slut Pop Miami in February 2024, continuing her steady stream of new music.
