Catcher Patrick Bailey of the San Francisco Giants had to leave the game against the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday in the second inning due to blurry vision. After being hit by a foul ball off the bat of Phillies’ Alec Bohm in the first inning, Bailey was substituted by veteran catcher Tom Murphy. Despite walking and scoring a run in his only plate appearance of the game, Bailey exited due to his vision problems. The Giants are closely monitoring Bailey’s condition as they await updates on his status.
