Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid has been facing a number of health concerns during the final stretch of the regular season and the current playoff run. Details about Embiid’s knee-related setback were already public before Thursday’s Game 3 victory over the New York Knicks. However, after the game, it was revealed that the star center was also dealing with Bell’s Palsy, as reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Embiid acknowledged the setbacks, admitting that he was unsure of what exactly had happened. He has been seen wearing sunglasses off the court recently, with symptoms starting before the Sixers’ match against the Miami Heat in the NBA’s Play-In Tournament. Despite dealing with meniscus recovery and Bell’s Palsy, Embiid has not missed a game for the Sixers since the start of their postseason series against the Knicks last Saturday.
