In an exclusive interview with “La Repubblica”, Giuseppe Conte, the leader of the 5 Star Movement, has criticized the Meloni government for weakening anti-corruption rules and undermining the judiciary’s powers. He expressed his concern over what he described as a deliberate effort to dismantle essential investigative tools piecemeal.

Conte pointed to what he called “ignoble attacks” against Vice President of the Anti-Mafia, Cafiero De Raho and the Anti-Mafia Prosecutor’s Office as evidence of the government’s undermining of these institutions.
