Calvin Mew has been a dedicated member of the Harvard Business School Club of New York (HBSCNY) for over two decades. He started his journey with the organization in 2002, taking on various roles such as joining the Social Enterprise Board in 2005, becoming Co-Chair of the Social Services Committee, and working on the Board Governance Committee. In July of last year, Mew was elected Executive Vice President of HBSCNY.

Mew’s passion for supporting the Club’s alumni and community programs has been recognized and celebrated by the organization. He has worked with various clients such as the Center Against Domestic Violence, National Council of Jewish Women, the Osborne Association, and Southampton Fresh Air Home through Community Partners. Additionally, he has been actively involved in the HBSCNY Small Business Partnership Initiative.

Outside of the Club, Mew works as an independent management consultant and previously held a position as Executive Vice President at Bozell Worldwide (Advertising), Inc. He is also involved in various nonprofit organizations, serving as Treasurer of Carnegie East House, director of James Lenox House Association, and Council member of Yale Club of New York.

Deborah Farrington, HBSCNY Board Chair, expressed excitement over Calvin Mew’s election as the new president of HBS Club. She thanked Clare Peeters for her leadership over the past three years. Mew’s commitment to fostering professional development through education and community service aligns with HBSCNY’s mission to support its members both personally and professionally.

Mew holds degrees from Harvard Business School, Yale University, Union Theological Seminary, and Columbia University. He is active in his community as an occasional guest preacher at Norfield Congregational Church in Weston CT and Rowayton United Methodist Church in Norwalk CT.
