Google has recently addressed a security flaw in the Android TV operating system that allowed unauthorized access to data from users’ Gmail accounts without requiring a password or access PIN. Android TV, which is designed for smart TVs and streaming devices, requires users to log in with a Google account. This vulnerability was exposed by content creator Cameron Gray earlier this year, who demonstrated how it could be exploited by malicious agents.

Google has acknowledged the issue after being alerted by US Senator Ron Wyden and is actively working on a solution. The company notes that most Google TV devices with the latest software updates no longer allow unauthorized access to Google services, and they are working on fixing this for remaining devices.
