In recent months, technology leaders from Jackson’s Food Stores, The Convenience Group LLC, and Family Express Corp. gathered together to discuss the role of technology in creating a seamless convenience store experience for both customers and employees. This Conexxus-hosted webinar, titled “Think Tank v8.0 – IT Leaders’ Insights,” covered topics such as prioritizing technology requests through a project management office and developing a clear technology roadmap that aligns with all aspects of the operation.

Convenience store retailers, regardless of size, face similar challenges when it comes to technology solutions. However, there are solutions available that can help them overcome these obstacles. It is important for retailers to find technology solution providers that best meet their specific needs. As we look forward to Conexxus’ annual conference next month, I am excited about the discussions on pressing issues such as artificial intelligence, EMV, and achieving digital success that will be crucial for convenience store retailers.

As both a technology editor for Convenience Store News and a consumer myself, these issues are at the forefront of my mind. I have not attended Conexxus’ annual conference in five years and I am eagerly anticipating this opportunity to engage with industry-leading technology experts again. One session that stands out to me is “Outside of the Box: Unique Approaches to Convenience Retailing.” The promise of new, innovative and cutting-edge ideas is exciting and motivating me to see you all in Arlington Texas for this amazing event!
