Ubisoft is set to release the latest addition to the Prince of Persia franchise, titled “The Rogue Prince of Persia”. Developed by Evil Empire, the same team behind Dead Cells, this game promises to bring a fresh take to the beloved series.

Evil Empire’s reputation for quality game development makes The Rogue Prince of Persia highly anticipated. It’s expected to be a platform game with roguelike elements, meaning that each player will have a unique experience as levels are procedurally generated. This adds an extra layer of excitement and replayability to the game.

The gameplay trailer showcases complex platform sequences reminiscent of the original Prince of Persia series alongside combat styles inspired by Dead Cells. Players will have access to a variety of weapons including swords, daggers, axes, bows and chakrams. The prince himself will possess abilities such as wall jumping and dodging, adding another level of excitement to the gameplay experience.

One significant change from its predecessor is the shift from pixelated animation to a cel-shaded look that gives it a modern cartoon feel. This visual change adds a fresh touch to the franchise and sets it apart from previous games in the series.

With Evil Empire leading development and a solid foundation in place, fans can eagerly anticipate an exciting gaming experience when The Rogue Prince of Persia hits Steam early access on May 14th.
