A first-of-its-kind community health survey is set to take place in June in Helena. The survey, known as the Community Assessment for Public Health Emergency Response (CASPER), is a collaborative effort involving organizations such as Lewis and Clark Public Health, Pureview Health Center, and St. Peter’s Health. This initiative aims to gather valuable information that will help in addressing health issues and improving the overall well-being of the community.

The purpose of the CASPER survey is to provide a snapshot of community health conditions, behaviors, and social determinants. Thirty 2-member teams will be assigned to locate seven households in each census block who are willing to participate. Residents who take part in the survey will have the opportunity to win a $500 Visa gift card.

The door-to-door survey is scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday, June 25th, between 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. The data collected from the CASPER survey will be used to identify public health priorities and develop a community health improvement plan.

This multi-county community health survey is a unique opportunity for volunteers to make a difference in their community by participating in gathering valuable information that will help address health issues and improve the overall well-being of the community. The deadline to apply as a volunteer for the survey is Monday, June 17th.
