Dr. Sarah Wyatt, an environmental and plant biology professor in the College of Arts and Sciences at Ohio University, will give a presentation on “Growing (Plants) Beyond Gravity” at the final Science Café event of the spring semester. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 3 at 5 p.m. at The Front Room Coffeehouse in Baker University Center, and will be live-streamed on YouTube.

Attendees will receive free coffee coupons while supplies last, and Dr. Wyatt’s research on the effects of gravity on plants, including recent experiments conducted on the International Space Station, will be showcased. As a specialist in studying molecular mechanisms of signaling in plant responses, with a focus on how plants react to gravity, Dr. Wyatt is excited to share her findings with the community.

The Science Café series is made possible by the support of the Ohio University Research Division and the Ohio University Chapter of Sigma Xi. For more information about the series or to RSVP for this event, visit their website or contact Roxanne Malé-Brune at male-bru@ohio.edu.
