In a recent episode of Amoeba Records’ popular What’s In My Bag? series, the Los Angeles trio HEALTH was featured. The band had just released their new album, Rat Wars, late last year and the video received mixed comments from viewers. Some picked up on perceived tension between the band members, specifically frontman Jake Duzsik. Commentators labeled him as “prick” and “trying too hard.”

In response to the negative feedback, Duzsik created a humorous video where he read out loud some of the comments from the original video. He acknowledged the criticism but shrugged it off by saying it wasn’t as bad as people thought. After reading many comments, Duzsik humorously quoted former President Chester A. Arthur, saying, “I may be President of the United States, but my private life is my own damn business.”

The response video was meant to jokingly address the criticism and show that not everyone will be pleased, despite their best efforts. The band members displayed a sense of humor and resilience in the face of negativity, ultimately urging viewers to judge for themselves.
