The terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but Quintron’s DICES VoIP technology has been used by NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center to establish direct communication with the International Space Station. According to data from USASpending.gov, Quintron has recorded $1.2 million in unclassified prime contract obligations over the past year, with NASA accounting for 92% of that amount and the Army making up the remaining 8%. As part of the acquisition, Quintron’s president, Dominick Barry, has been appointed as the chief operating officer of SAS.
