The highly anticipated NBA Draft is drawing nearer, and the latest addition to the list of draft-eligible players is Stephon Castle, a standout freshman guard from Covington, Georgia. After leading the UConn Huskies to their second consecutive national title during the 2023-24 season, Castle has announced his decision to enter the draft.
Standing at 6-foot-6, Castle was a key contributor to the team’s success. He averaged 11.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3 assists per game during his time with the Huskies. His impressive performance on the court has earned him recognition as one of the best freshmen in college basketball, making him only the second “one-and-done” player in UConn history, following in the footsteps of Andre Drummond who was drafted ninth overall in 2012.
