Anton Watson, a Gonzaga Bulldogs forward, has recently signed with Young Money APAA Sports as he prepares for the 2024 NBA Draft. Founded by rapper Lil Wayne, this sports agency represents athletes in both the NFL and NBA. Among their roster are players such as Jalen Hurts, Mecole Hardman, and Issac Okoro.

Young Money APAA Sports also represents a select few college athletes, with Watson being their newest addition. Prior to signing with Young Money APAA Sports, Watson worked with Seven1 Sports & Entertainment, founded by Tracy McGrady and Jermaine O’Neal. During his final season as a fifth-year senior at Gonzaga, Watson had an impressive performance that led to his selection to the All-WCC first team. He averaged 14.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game while also excelling defensively with 1.5 steals per game.

Despite his skills and versatility on the court, Watson is not expected to be a high draft pick in 2024. However, he still has opportunities to pursue a career in the NBA through signing as an undrafted free agent or securing a two-way contract or earning an invitation to the NBA Summer League. With determination and potential, Watson has a promising future ahead in professional basketball.

In addition to his work with Seven1 Sports & Entertainment, Watson had previously worked with Drew Timme on various NIL deals in Spokane for local businesses during his time at Gonzaga.

Overall, Young Money APAA Sports’ decision to sign Anton Watson shows their faith in his talent and potential for success in the NBA despite not being highly regarded as a top draft pick.
