On May 6, a gathering was held in Thai Binh province to celebrate a wedding. The family in Hoang Dieu ward served a menu that included roasted chicken, braised shrimp, melon and eggplant soup, and goat blood pudding made from ingredients sourced from Ninh Binh. The blood pudding was prepared using boiled pig ears, liver, and throat, with each tray having a large bowl for guests to consume.
The following day, additional feasts were held with a variety of dishes including poultry, seafood, and other meats. However, after consuming the goat blood pudding, one man passed away while 18 others experienced symptoms such as fever, digestive issues, and abdominal pain.
Authorities suspect that the incident may be related to food poisoning
