On Monday, US President Joe Biden met with Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala at the White House. The meeting took place in the Oval Hall, where Biden stressed the importance of supporting Ukraine and urged the House of Representatives to approve a package of additional financial aid for Ukraine and Israel.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Petr Fiala expressed his country’s appreciation for Biden’s leadership in supporting Ukraine and stated that the Czech Republic is also committed to helping Ukraine and stopping Putin’s aggression. The White House later announced that Biden welcomed the Czech government’s decision to purchase 24 F-35 fighter jets earlier this year, marking the largest purchase for the Czech Armed Forces at a value of $6.6 billion.

The meeting between Biden and Fiala highlighted the ongoing support for Ukraine and efforts to counter Russian aggression. Both leaders emphasized the importance of working together to address these challenges and strengthen international security.
