The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has revoked the accreditation of Midwest Exterior Products LLC, a Republic business, due to violations of BBB’s accreditation agreement. This decision was made by BBB’s Executive Committee in February, following a recommendation from its Standards and Compliance Committee. Accredited Businesses are held to certain standards, which include responding to customer complaints and BBB inquiries, making a good faith effort to resolve complaints, honoring arbitration decisions, and advertising honestly. Failure to adhere to these guidelines is considered detrimental to the best interests of BBB and private enterprise.
In September 2023, BBB reached out to Midwest Exterior Products regarding a customer complaint about a project not starting and a refund not being provided. Despite being asked for its resignation as a BBB Accredited Business, the company did not comply. The complainant mentioned on the business’ online BBB profile that they had given the company over $26,000 for materials and labor but never received the services promised. They reported that Midwest Exterior Products disappeared after delivering materials and left their place of business vacant. The complainant stated that they had not been able to reach any resolution with the company.
The News-Leader attempted to contact Midwest Exterior Products for a response but was unsuccessful. It is believed that the business owner is Greg Brown and the business manager is Tara Brown. There is no BBB rating for Midwest Exterior Products as it appears that they are out of business as confirmed by returned mail in February.
