Andersen Portugal has recently expanded its team with two new hires, bringing on board Catarina Matos as VAT Director and Nuno Saraiva as Of Counsel for Life Sciences. Matos brings over 20 years of experience in VAT and indirect taxation to the role, having previously served as VAT Senior Manager at EY where she led teams and provided consultancy services across a range of sectors including real estate, banking, insurance, automobiles, and retail.
Saraiva, on the other hand, has more than 25 years of legal experience focusing on the health sector. In his previous role as Head of Legal & HR at Synlab Iberia and as President of the National Association of Clinical Laboratories, he gained valuable insights into the industry. According to José Mota Soares, Managing Partner at Andersen Portugal, these new appointments reflect the firm’s commitment to enhancing its teams and core capabilities. Mota Soares believes that the addition of Catarina Matos and Nuno Saraiva will bring valuable expertise to the firm, allowing them to strengthen and specialize their services ultimately delivering enhanced value to their clients.
