US President Joe Biden has announced a new military package for Ukraine, including anti-aircraft equipment, artillery, missile systems, and armored vehicles. This move comes after signing a corresponding law on Wednesday and is not only an investment in Ukraine’s security but also in the security of Europe, as Russia could potentially target a NATO partner next.

Meanwhile, the US Congress approved a $61 billion package for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. The aid package includes increased funding for weapons and ammunition for the US military’s inventory, which will indirectly benefit Ukraine as the US usually provides equipment from its own stocks to countries under attack.

In addition to this aid package, Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky discussed the delivery of new long-range ATACMS missiles. Although details about the specific models were not provided, this move is significant as it strengthens Ukraine’s defense capabilities against Russian aggression.

The controversy surrounding TikTok’s ownership and potential security risks also highlights ongoing tensions between the US and China in the tech industry. TikTok owner Bytedance faced new legislation in the US, with the threat of a potential ban on the popular video platform if the company does not separate from it within a year. Bytedance has denied these allegations but plans to challenge the law in court.
