High school students in Santa Barbara County are invited to apply for the Youth Advisory Board (YAB) Internships program offered by the YouthWell organization. This program is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in mental health education and leadership development, while also helping their community.

Through this program, participants will receive training for peer support and engage in team-building activities. They will collaborate with others and have the opportunity to attend meetings, retreats, and help plan the annual Student Advocacy & Mental Wellness Summit. These activities will not only provide students with valuable skills but also allow them to connect with their peers and make a positive impact in their community.

The YAB program runs from August 2024 to May 2025, and participants are expected to dedicate eight to ten hours per month to the program. To be eligible for this program, applicants must be high school students in Santa Barbara County who are interested in mental health education and gaining leadership experience.

If you are interested in applying for the YAB Internships program, you can submit your application by May 1 on the YouthWell website. For more information about the program or how to apply, please contact the YAB program via email.
