On Wednesday, the Pentagon announced the approval of a new one billion dollar military aid package for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This came just minutes after President Joe Biden signed off on a multimillion-dollar aid package for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. The aid package had been held up by Congress for months before finally being approved.

The new aid package includes air defense missiles, artillery shells, armored vehicles, anti-tank weapons, and ammunition to help Ukraine strengthen its defensive capabilities and protect against Russian attacks. With bipartisan support from Congress, the United States is committed to providing ongoing security assistance to Ukraine and its allies to combat Russian aggression.

President Biden signed the bill on Wednesday, which allocates a total of 90 billion euros in military aid. With the majority going to Ukraine (57 billion euros), followed by Israel (24 billion euros) and Taiwan (7.5 billion euros). The aid package was approved by the United States Senate, putting an end to months of negotiations within the Republican party.

The aid package aims to provide critical support to Ukraine and its allies in the face of increasing threats from Russia. This aid will help Ukraine bolster its defenses and protect its sovereignty against external threats.
