I had a setback today when I got a flat tire on my bike, which made me late for a dinner out with my wife. Feeling frustrated, I began to consider the idea of having some sort of tracking device that could be placed on myself or my bicycle. This way, my wife could monitor my whereabouts and speed of travel in real-time.

During a conversation with a hair stylist, I learned that she keeps track of her kids’ locations using their cellphones. This sparked my curiosity about obtaining a similar tracking method that did not involve a cellphone. I wondered if there was an alternative to GPS tracking devices that certain convicted criminals are required to wear.

Although tracking devices are commonly used in cars, I pondered if it would be feasible to have one that I could carry with me without relying on a cellphone. A suggestion was made for me to simply carry a cellphone, but I continued to explore other options.
