Travelers, a leading global property and casualty insurer, has recently announced the opening of a new 2,800-square-foot office space in Atlanta. This move comes as the company seeks to accommodate its growing artificial intelligence, data science, and technology operations. The Coda Building in Midtown, which is part of Georgia Tech University’s innovation district, will serve as the home for Travelers’ tech operations.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the company plans to hire approximately 40 technologists for this new office space. Mojgan Lefebvre, executive vice president and chief technology and operations officer at Travelers, stated in a press release that the company is excited to further connect with the community by leveraging the tech talent in the region.

Travelers has had a significant presence in Georgia for several years and this move reflects its commitment to innovation and growth. The insurance industry is seeing an increasing trend towards investing in technology to enhance risk expertise and customer service. Many companies are grappling with the decision of office-based versus remote work arrangements, with Travelers opting for a physical location to support its technology operations.

The exact cost of the new office space was not disclosed but it is clear that this move represents a significant investment in Travelers’ future success. The Coda Building provides a mixed-use office locale that will allow Travelers to attract top talent from across the region and continue to drive innovation within its organization.
