Henderson, a two-time major champion, had been playing impressively throughout the tournament. She had carded six birdies and an eagle in her first 14 holes before the suspension of play. When the third round resumed, she continued her strong play with a birdie at the par-3 seventh hole, followed by an eagle at the par-5 eighth and birdies at holes 9 to 11. She then birdied holes 13 and 14 before a bogey on the par-4 16th. Her best round in a major tournament is 64, which she achieved in the first two rounds of the 2022 Evian Championship, a tournament she went on to win.

The final round of the tournament is scheduled to start at 10:20 a.m. ET with threesomes and split tees being used.
