The new Transportation Technology Center at the College of Southern Idaho was officially unveiled at a groundbreaking ceremony attended by college personnel, government leaders, and members of the Twin Falls community. Tiffany Seeley-Case, Dean of General and Transfer Education, spoke about how the center will be a hub for excellence in education and workforce development, preparing individuals for the demands of the modern transportation and agricultural industry.

The center will house the college’s Heavy Equipment Ag Technology and Diesel Technology programs, as well as support industry training and expand a dual credit collaboration with the Twin Falls School District. This project is being funded by the Idaho Department of Public Works and CSI, with a total budget of $15 million. Starr Corporation has been appointed as the construction manager for the project.

Lt. Governor Scott Bedke highlighted the demand for well-trained employees in the transportation and agricultural industries, with job openings for 600 graduates in Idaho. He emphasized the importance of specialized training in facilities like the new Transportation Technology Center. The center is expected to open in October 2025.
