Yesterday, an accident occurred involving a military vehicle carrying soldiers from the Ministry of Defense in the Syunik marz. The incident resulted in 4 fatalities and 20 wounded individuals. As a result, the remaining 7 servicemen who sustained minor injuries did not require serious medical intervention.

Following the accident, Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan and Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan visited the military hospital of the Ministry of Defense to check on the injured servicemen. They were briefed on their health conditions and treatment plans. The Ministry of Defense has initiated criminal proceedings under article 328 for violating the rule of driving or operating a combat, special or transport vehicle in connection with the incident.

As investigations continue, the Ministry of Defense assures that it is committed to ensuring that its military personnel receive proper medical care and treatment.
