The total solar eclipse of April 2024 will provide a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for over 30 million people to witness the celestial event in totality. NASA has meticulously mapped out the path of totality across the United States, from Texas to Ohio and New York, all the way to Maine.

For those fortunate enough to live in the eclipse’s path, it will be an unforgettable experience as they watch the moon obscure the sun, creating a truly awe-inspiring sight. However, many more people will still have the chance to witness this rare event by traveling just a short distance.

NASA has created a map to help you determine the optimal locations and times to view the eclipse. As it travels across the U.S., starting in Maine and ending in New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine at 3:35 p.m Eastern Time on April 8th, 2024, everyone’s last chance to see a total solar eclipse in the contiguous U.S for next two decades is upon us!
