TikTok and Universal Music Group (UMG) have reached a new agreement that will allow users of the social network to once again use the songs of artists like Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny in their videos. The licensing agreement signed by both parties will bring back UMG artists’ songs, composers, and labels to TikTok.

This collaboration was halted at the end of January but has now been revived with a focus on the value of music, the importance of human art, and the well-being of the creative community. The licensing agreement includes new terms for remuneration and protection against unauthorized use of AI-generated music.

The partnership between TikTok and UMG will provide users with access to a wide range of UMG songs featuring popular artists such as Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Bad Bunny, Ariana Grande, and Drake. In addition to this, TikTok has also introduced new monetization options for artists. These include analysis tools and integrated sales capabilities that are designed to help artists expand their global fan bases through the reach of the video platform.

Both TikTok and UMG are excited about this collaboration which aims to support and promote the value of music and creativity while ensuring fair compensation for artists. They look forward to making these songs available on TikTok in the near future.
