The Kansas City Chiefs have been keeping mum about receiver Rashee Rice after a street racing incident last month that resulted in a six-car crash. Despite calls for the team to cut ties with him, it looks like the Chiefs have no intention of ending their relationship with Rice. Currently, Rice is participating in the offseason program virtually, just like the rest of the team.

Head coach Andy Reid stated that they are taking things day by day as the situation unfolds. While the NFL could make a decision at any moment that impacts the team, so far, no action has been taken beyond monitoring the situation. Reid emphasized that the team will allow the legal process to play out. Rice is currently facing eight felony charges in connection to the incident.

When asked if the Chiefs still trust Rice, Reid said that as long as he learns from this situation, it’s all that matters. It seems like the team is giving him a chance to move past this incident and prevent similar behavior in the future. However, simply experiencing consequences may not be enough to change his ways completely.

The big question is whether Rice will be present in the building when players return. It appears that Reid and his staff are willing to work through this situation with Rice and keep him on board for now.
