With the 2024 NFL Draft just a week away, teams are finalizing their preparations for the upcoming draft. The first round of the draft will kick off in Detroit, Michigan, and the Buccaneers will be making their pick in the latter third after making the playoffs last year. The team is considering selecting a premier player along the offensive line, a pass rusher, or help solidify their defensive backs with the 26th overall pick.

According to a recent first-round mock draft by CBS Sports’ Will Brinson, there is no surprise that Terion Arnold from the University of Alabama is projected to be selected by the Bucs. Arnold, who hails from Tallahassee, Florida, had an impressive college career and was named FWAA Freshman All-American and Freshman All-SEC in his early years at Tuscaloosa. He continued to excel during his redshirt sophomore season and was recognized as a first-team Associated Press All-American and All-SEC first-team member.

With Carlton Davis III traded away and players like Zyon McCollum and Tavierre Thomas added to their roster, the Bucs are still in need of bolstering their defensive backfield. This makes Arnold a valuable addition to their team as he will bring much-needed depth to this area. As such, it seems likely that Terion Arnold will be selected by the Buccaneers with their 26th overall pick.
