Titans Sign Defensive Lineman Sebastian Joseph-Day to One-Year Deal

NFL veteran defensive lineman Sebastian Joseph-Day has found a new home in the AFC South, signing a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans. The move comes after Joseph-Day met with the team on Monday.

Last season, Joseph-Day played for the Los Angeles Chargers for most of the year under a three-year contract signed in March 2022. He was released late in the season and then played the last two games of the regular season with the San Francisco 49ers. He also played in a rotational role in three postseason games for San Francisco.

Joseph-Day was selected by the Rams in the sixth round of the 2018 draft but did not see any action in his rookie year. However, he went on to make 38 starts over the next three seasons, including a Super Bowl LVI win with the Rams at the end of the 2021 season. Throughout his career, Joseph-Day has accumulated 11.0 sacks, 21 tackles for loss, and 31 quarterback hits in 71 games with 68 starts.

The Titans will be looking forward to adding Joseph-Day’s versatility and proven ability to disrupt opposing quarterbacks to their defense as they prepare for the upcoming season in the AFC South.
