Maui Food Technology Center is actively seeking Maui County businesses to participate in Tokyo International Gift Show (TIGS), Japan’s largest international trade show, which draws in over 200,000 buyers, importers and distributors. The event will take place on Sept. 4-6, 2024 at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo International Exhibition Center. This presents local businesses with a valuable opportunity to gain exposure in the international market and connect with a global audience.

Nina Tanabe emphasizes the importance of participating in TIGS, stating that it allows Maui businesses to expand their reach beyond local markets. Participation in the Hawai’i Pavilion at TIGS, sponsored by the Hawai‘i State Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT), offers Maui County companies a space to showcase their unique products among other distinguished Hawaiian businesses. Products showcased at TIGS range from home decorations, crafts, clocks and watches, clothing and textiles to party decorations and handbags.

Maui County businesses can participate at affordable costs thanks to support from the County of Maui Office of Economic Development. Registration for TIGS can be done online at www.mauifoodtechnology.org/tigs for those interested in taking part in this exciting opportunity to explore growth opportunities and build relationships with decision-makers in the international market.
