The creation of this group was announced on Thursday, April 18, by Roi Kahlon, head of the department of the head of government’s ministry for combating crime in the Arab sector, and Shai Aronovich, director of the tax department.

According to a statement from the press service of the head of government, an economic component is a significant factor in the strength of criminal organizations and is key to their dismantling. The task force will focus on developing a plan for economic warfare against these criminal organizations and preparing a strategic program that aims to deliver a fatal economic blow to these entities.
