LG has conducted a study on television consumption habits in Spanish households and found that TV remains the preferred device for watching content among families with children. The study revealed that 90 percent of homes with children prefer to watch series or movies on TV rather than on tablets or smartphones. While younger users may opt for streaming platforms, TV is still the most popular device for watching content in Spanish households with children.

The study also found that parental control functions are important to many users, with 57 percent activating these functions on their televisions to control viewing time and content. Over half of respondents indicated that they try to watch content together with their children on TV to ensure appropriate viewing.

LG emphasizes the importance of quality entertainment for all audiences and has developed solutions and products to meet the changing needs of families. The webOS operating system offers options to create a safe viewing environment for children, including blocking TV programs and channels, limiting access to streaming platforms, and tracking time spent on devices. The portable smart TV StandbyME is a useful tool for managing parental control and sharing family moments while controlling screen time.

The StandbyME device was launched in December and is designed to help users manage parental control and share quality family time. By focusing on user preferences and habits when watching TV, LG aims to provide solutions that enhance the viewing experience and ensure safe entertainment for all ages.
