In a surprise announcement, actor and rapper Donald Glover has revealed that he will be releasing two new Childish Gambino albums. The first album will be a finished version of his surprise release “3.15.20,” which quietly dropped in March 2020 under the original title “Atavista” along with a vinyl release. He will then follow up with the last installment of the Gambino project, which will serve as the soundtrack to his film “Bando Storm and the New World.”

Glover made the announcement during a conversation on his Instagram initiative, Gilga, on Sunday night (April 14). He stated that he put out “3.15.20” quickly, without mastering or mixing it, and was going through a lot at the time due to the pandemic. However, after finishing it, he realized it was actually titled “Atavista” and decided to release it under that name as well as on vinyl.

He also revealed that the final Gambino album will be inspired by past soundtracks like Prince’s album for 1989’s “Batman,” and 1995’s “Batman Forever.” This album is expected to serve as an epic conclusion to his journey with Childish Gambino.

In addition to this news, Glover also announced an upcoming anime project with comedian Zack Fox and a cartoon called “Country Mouse, City Mouse” on Gilga. Outside of music, he recently starred in “Mr. & Mrs Smith” alongside Maya Erskine.
