Downhill World Cup racing is back at Fort William as the series kicks off its first round of the year. This marks the 21st time that this event has been held at Fort William, and the course has been refreshed for 2024 to make it faster and more challenging.

During practice runs, bikes and riders have already sustained damage from the increased speeds and rough terrain featuring brutal rocks. Vali Höll and Dakotah Norton were among those who posted the fastest times of the day, adjusting to new team setups for the upcoming season.

The adjusted schedule for 2024 sees elites and juniors participating in timed training on the first day, followed by qualifying and semi-finals on subsequent days. This provides an early glimpse into who is feeling confident for the weekend ahead.
