In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a stabbing occurred at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center campus in north Buffalo. The incident happened inside the Strozzi Building and left three staff members injured. Officials from New York State’s Office of Mental Health are working closely with the Buffalo Police Department to investigate the matter. Their top priority is ensuring the safety of both their staff and those they serve.

The Office of Mental Health has expressed its deepest sympathy for the injured employees and their families during this difficult time. Local news outlet WIVB-TV reported that two men and a woman were transported to hospital by ambulance following the incident, which took place shortly after 9 a.m. One staff member is believed to be seriously injured, while the suspect was taken into police custody.
