Ann Miller, a long-time resident of Westmoreland who passed away during the tornado that struck the town on April 30, was a well-known figure in Pottawatomie County. She had worked at the health department for 28 years and was known as the welcoming face of the organization.

On May 14, the Pottawatomie County Health Department will be closed in honor of Miller’s memory. This decision was made by officials who want to give staff members the opportunity to attend her funeral and pay their respects.
