Mississippi State University’s T.K. Martin Center for Technology and Disability is thrilled to host a hands-on training session that delves into the world of sensors for power wheelchairs. This event, entitled “A Day with LUCI,” will take place on April 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the T.K. Martin Center, which is aimed at professionals in the field of assistive technology, including occupational and physical therapists, speech language pathologists, teachers, and counselors.

The training session will introduce participants to LUCI, an innovative smart sensor power wheelchair system designed to prevent injury and damage during wheelchair use. Participants can expect classroom instruction, an end-user panel discussion, hands-on training, and lunch during this comprehensive event. Registration costs $150 per person and includes a CEU credit for those seeking continuing education units (CEUs). Interested individuals can easily register for the event through the T.K. During the hands-on portion of the training session, participants will gain practical knowledge about the programming options available in the LUCI system while also learning about its many features that enhance safety during wheelchair use.
